Free Diagnostic Policy

This policy outlines the terms and conditions of our diagnostic services, including the Free Diagnostic, In-Depth Diagnostic, and related services. At PC Problem Solving, we are committed to helping you identify and resolve your computer issues quickly and effectively.

What’s Included in the Free Diagnostic:

Our Free Diagnostic service is designed to provide an initial assessment of your computer's issues, either over the phone or onsite. Here's what it includes:

• Basic hardware and software troubleshooting to identify general expectations of the issue (e.g., slow PC, no boot, etc.).
• Determination of potential problem areas without opening the PC, desktop, or laptop.

What’s Not Included in the Free Diagnostic:

Our Free Diagnostic does not include:

1. Opening the device for internal inspection.
2. Providing exact details on faulty parts or specific issues requiring in-depth troubleshooting.
3. Data recovery, data migration, or installation of new operating systems (separate services available).

In-Depth Diagnostic Services:

If you require detailed troubleshooting to identify the exact issue or part that needs replacement, we offer In-Depth Diagnostic Services. Pricing and details are as follows:

For Gaming PCs and Desktops:

• Price: $199
• What’s Included:
  • Complete internal troubleshooting and identification of exact hardware or software issues.
  • Detailed recommendations on the parts needed for replacement.
  • Repairs or fixes included at no additional cost if no parts are required for the solution.
  • Applicable issues:
    1. PC Won’t Turn On
    2. Stuck in Boot Loop
    3. Wi-Fi or Internet Not Working
    4. Slow PC or Lag
    5. No Boot
    6. No Display
    7. Viruses or Malware
    8. Unresponsive Applications

Advanced Diagnostic for Complex Issues:

• Price: $299
• What’s Included:
  • In-depth investigation for complex issues that require 4-6+ hours of troubleshooting.
  • Comprehensive analysis and resolution plan.
  • Examples of applicable issues:
    1. Random Shutdowns
    2. Shutdown During Gaming
    3. Freezing During Gameplay
    4. Blue Screen of Death
    5. Sudden FPS Drops
    6. Intermittent Freezing
    7. Dual Monitor Issues
    8. Overclocking Instability
    9. Power Cycling During Idle
    10. Audio or Video Distortion

Note: If your system requires data migration or data recovery before installing a new OS, a separate Data Recovery service fee will apply.

For Laptops:

• Free Diagnostic: Provides general expectations about the issue without opening the laptop.
• In-Depth Diagnostic:
  • Price: $69 (to determine exact issues and parts needed for replacement).
  • If repairs are completed without replacing parts, the total cost will range from $145 to $299, which includes:
    • Opening and inspecting the laptop.
    • Fixing issues and reinstalling the operating system if needed.
    • Data recovery is not included and is a separate service.

Additional Notes:

1. If the diagnostic process results in a fix without requiring part replacement, the repair is included in the diagnostic fee.
2. Services requiring part replacement or installation will include a separate parts cost, which will be quoted in advance.
3. Data-related services such as recovery or migration are not included in the diagnostic and will be charged separately.

• Data Privacy and Security: Back up your data before bringing in your device. Data recovery services are available if required.
• Service Timeframes:
  • Standard diagnostics typically take 2-4 hours for gaming PCs and desktops and 2-3 hours for laptops.
  • Complex diagnostics may require 4-6+ hours depending on the issue.
• Consent: Opening your device requires your consent, and we will seek approval before proceeding with in-depth diagnostics or repairs.
